It
is located on the Southeast of Damghan and
it is one of the most important monuments, which is remained
from the primeval
Islamic centuries in Iran. It dates back to the near the end of The 2nd
centhury of Hegira.
According to some historical book it had built
on the first Abbasid
vicar “Saffah” era, (132 Hegira) and another Abbasid vicar
“Haron-Al-Rashid” (170 Hegira). Its name consists of two parts: “Tari”&”Khane”.
“Tari” is a Turkish word wich means “GOD” and “Khaneh” is a persian
word,which means, “HOME”.
Mosque’s
plan consists of a squared yard that is directed to “Kiblan”, a big hall
with several columns and in the other three positions are rows of
proches. The big hall has 7 vertical outfalls, and 3 horizontal
outfalls. The memeddle outfall is the widest and highest outfall and
there is the “Alter” of misque.
According to
some narrations this mosque style is Arabic style but its structural
style is a copied of Sassanid traditional style.
According
to the current documents& evidences the mosque’s plan is completely
traditional even related to before Islamic era because its samples are
seen in “Damghan Sassanid Palace”& “Firooz Abad Place” in Fars province.
The
arcs wich used in Tarikhaneh are “Bercu” style that are not recent, but
some of their samples are seen in “Haft Tappeh” of “Shoosh”. The zigzag
arce in one of its directions and various domes which are built over the
columns are not related to the basic structure and had made in futre
era. This
mosque in the several years had some riders buildings, whichare
destroyed.
